2011 Jaguars
Season nine for Jack Del Rio may be his make or break year as the Jaguars Head man. The team improved only one game last season and in order to do so, has taken his team out on a limb. The teams sent their 2011 first round and a second round pick to Washington in exchange for the 10th overall pick in the draft. Enter Missouri QB Blaine Gilbert who is being looked upon to help salvage the franchise and Del Rio is doing everything he possible can to make the 6’5” QB as comfortable as possible to the point that he has declared Gilbert off limits to annual team hazing. "I thought he was pretty sharp. My first impression was he handles himself well. We did have some communication failure issues. We worked on that during the scrimmage," Del Rio said.
3rd round selection OG Will Rackley is competing for a starting position 4th rounder, WR Cecil Shorts is battling 3rd year player Jarett Dillard for the third WR position.
Team defense is the key this season and if Del Rio’s team does not improve, look for a new coach roaming the Jaguars sidelines in 2012.
